Hugh O'Neill Managing Partner 

Hugh O'Neill was educated at Cistercian College, Roscrea and Trinity College Dublin. Hugh qualified in 1980 and became a Partner in the firm in 1983. He is the Managing Partner with responsibility for Litigation, Commercial Law, Employment Law and Family Law. Hugh currently sits on the Complaints Committee of the Legal Services Regulatory Authority. 
 
Hugh spends the majority of his time advising companies and other commercial entities, their directors and shareholders on their legal affairs, in particular the buying and selling of their interests and shareholder disputes. He has an extremely extensive knowledge of employment law, tribunal law and regulatory law in relation to the professions. 
 
Hugh was the Registrar (Legal Adviser) to The Irish Labour Court from 1999 to 2017. He was a Member of The Solicitors' Disciplinary Tribunal from 2005 to 2015, and was a Member of the Commission investigating child abuse in the Dublin Archdiocese and the Diocese of Cloyne from 2006 to 2010. 
 
Hugh is a Past President of The Dublin Solicitors' Bar Association and a former Member of The Law Society Council. During his term on the Council he was a Founder Member and first Chairman of the Employment Law Committee of the Society. He has lectured in law in the Department of the Built Environment in the Dublin Institute of Technology. He has acted as the employment law expert on a number of short term EU missions advising emerging Russian states, including Kyrgystan and Georgia, on amendments to their Labour Codes.
