Marcus Lynch was founded in 1894 by William Lynch, the Grandfather of our current Senior Partner, Bryan Lynch. Since then the firm has provided a full legal service to private individuals and the business community.
The firm currently has two Partners, one Associate, one Assistant Solicitors, two Legal Executives and a number of Support Staff with a wide range of legal experience. The firm’s size ensures that the clients receive a personal service while at the same time being able to access a wide range and breadth of legal knowledge.
Bryan qualified as a Solicitor in 1962, obtaining a Special Certificate for excellence, Gold Medals for his debating prowess in Law and Oratory and a Silver Medal for Irish Debate. He became a Partner in the firm, then entitled Marcus A Lynch & Son, in January 1963. Bryan became the Senior Partner in 1976. Bryan has dealt with all aspects of law including Litigation, Chancery, Criminal, Conveyancing and Probate, but has particular expertise in Conveyancing Law and Probate. In 2008 Bryan celebrates his 50th year in law and his 45th year as a qualified Solicitor. Bryan is a Member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). Bryans outside interests are Rugby Sailing and Golf. He has been Honorary Secretary and President of Suttonians RFC and is currently a Club Trustee. He has been Honorary Secretary and Rear Commodore of Howth Yacht Club. Bryan has been a Member of Howth Golf Club since 1958. bryan.lynch@lynchlaw.ie
Hugh is a Past President of The Dublin Solicitors' Bar Association and a former Member of The Law Society Council. During his term on the Council he was a Founder Member and first Chairman of the Employment Law Committee of the Society. He has lectured in law in the Department of the Environment in the Dublin Institute of Technology. He has acted as the employment law expert on a number of EU missions advising emerging Russian states, including Kyrgystan and Georgia, on amendments to their Labour Codes. He is currently Registrar (Legal Adviser) to The Irish Labour Court. He is a Member of The Solicitors' Disciplinary Tribunal and a Member of the Commission investigating child abuse in the Dublin Archdiocese. hugh.oneill@lynchlaw.ie

Bryan Lynch is our Senior Partner. He was educated at Belvedere College Dublin, leaving school in 1958 to commence his legal studies as an Apprentice to his Father, Marcus Lynch.
Hugh O'Neill was educated at Cistercian College, Roscrea and Trinity College Dublin. Hugh qualified in 1980 and became a Partner in the firm in 1983. He is currently the Partner with responsibility for Litigation, Commercial Law, Employment Law, Family Law and Intellectual Property Law.
Ann Lynch is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, where she obtained a BA (Hons) in Business and Economics and a Diploma in Business German. She commenced her Apprenticeship in Marcus Lynch Solicitors in 1995 and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1998. She specialises in the areas of Conveyancing, Family Law and Probate and Administration of Estates.
Maeve Doyle graduated with an L.L.B (Hons) Degree from the University of Wales in 2002. After working as a Legal Executive and training as a Solicitor, Maeve qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and joined the firm. Maeve’s main areas of expertise are buying and selling Residential and Commercial Property, Wills, the Administration of Estates and Family Law. She has also assisted in the representation of various bodies in recent high profile Tribunals of Investigation.
Mary joined the firm in 2007 as Legal Executive and Personal Assistant to Hugh O’Neill. Mary has a wealth of experience working both within the legal and commercial sectors. Her main areas of responsibility within the firm are in the litigation and employment departments.
Fran joined the firm in 2008 and currently holds a dual role as office manager /legal executive. Fran completed her Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies in 2009.
